Grace Baptist Church is Advancing Jesus Christ through Missions:
(Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8)
- Preaching the good News (Luke 14:23; 1 Corinthians 9:22; 2 Corinthians 5:20)
- Practicing the Good News (Matthew 5:13-16; John 17:21; John 13:35)
- Adding to the Bride of Christ (Acts 2:47; Matthew 16:18; Revelation 5:9; revelation 14:6)
Advancing Jesus Christ
We, having received the gift of salvation, desire at Grace Baptist to fulfill Christ’s command to believer’s found in Matthew 28:18-20 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
The command of Christ to “go” and “make disciples” is being perused by Grace Baptist Church on two basic fronts: Locally and Beyond.
Locally:
- Equipping of believers (more in Admonishing Each Other)
- Door to Door Evangelism
- Vacation Bible School
Beyond (Typically referred to as missions):
- Rebecca Pope, Medical Missionary to various Countries
- Charles and JoAnn Smith, Missionaries to Argentina
- Ryan and Hilde Talkington, Missionaries to Germany
At Grace Baptist Church we encourage, pray for and support missions, both locally and globally.
Matthew 28:15-17 New King James Version (NKJV)
15 So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day. 16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.
